Now operating under the Porsche Exclusive brand, the “Special Wishes” department of Porsche has long offered extraordinary upgrades and exclusive options to select VIP clients. Case in point, in addition to the 284 Porsche 959s that came off the official general production line, it is believed that approximately 20 to 25 Porsche 959 Special Wishes models were manufactured. The 1988 Porsche 959 Komfort currently approaching the auction block is one of these cars.

Finished in Paint-to-Sample black over an interior of beige leather that even extends to air vents and electronic window switches, the 959 “Komfort” was built for German modern art collector Dr. Friedrich Christian Flick. In addition to its rare color (only two other 959s were originally finished in black), this car features a range of custom touches including an exclusive option CDR-210 radio and a bespoke steering wheel embossed with the Porsche crest.
