The Associated Press Driver of the Century, Mario Andretti has won the NASCAR Daytona 500, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Indianapolis 500, and just about any other auto race of note. While at home in Pennsylvania, he has long driven his five exceptional Lamborghinis. One of these Lamborghinis, a stunning 1984 Lamborghini Countach 5000 S, has recently been made available for purchase through Fort Lauderdale, Florida’s Motorcar Gallery.

A 10th generation Countach, this vehicle was born before the introduction of fuel injection engines, and its carbureted 371-horsepower 5-liter V12 engine model produces a rumble that is simply missing from later models.

Retaining its original red paint job, the 5000 S stands apart from the few other 1984 Countachs as it is customized with a pinstripe that featured Mario Andretti’s logo. This logo also graces both of its exterior rear view mirrors. Both the car’s original interior and its mechanical parts have been cleaned and optimized for sale.
