The Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 was the company’s first four-seater sports car. It debuted following Lamborghini’s first production vehicle, the 350 GT. The 400 GT was designed to be a larger grand touring car with room for three passengers plus the driver. In 1967, Lamborghini produced 247 units of the 400 GT 2+2, and this is a pristine surviving example of one. Chassis number 0874 left the factory on April 4th, 1967, wearing Grigio Argento silver paintwork with Tobacco colored leather interior that has remained on the car since.

Auxietre & Schmidt is currently selling this preserved 1967 Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2, and it comes with a fully documented history of the last 55 years. The car has spent its entire life in Europe. Most collector vehicles passed down to multiple owners often undergo paint color changes, restorations, and other modifications. However, this 400 GT has remained a time capsule of original parts over the decades. According to its paperwork, the car underwent in-depth mechanical preventative maintenance in the early 1990s by Lamborghini specialist Ciclet Automobiles. Since then, the car’s six Weber twin-choke carburetors have been refurbished by AB Racing and given another mechanical check-up to ensure everything is in proper working order. This Lamborghini comes with a hefty price tag and European registration. However, quality comes at a cost, and this number matching Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 is worth the expense.
