A museum-quality 1958 Porsche 356 A Speedster soft-top GT is undoubtedly a desirable sports car. This one, however, has been retro-fitted with a series of go-fast goodies. These include magnesium wheels, central Carrera exhaust, front nose fog lights, grid lights, and GT rod on the bumper. These parts are in addition to a series of performance parts like disc brakes, stabilizer bars, and adjustable dampers. Wait, there’s more! The car comes with two engines, a restored standard model, and a spare engine prepped for partaking in rallies or vintage racing events. All this is topped off with a very rare aluminum and wood steering wheel with center Porsche emblem. A hardtop is also included with folding canvas and side windows.
With all this gear, the Porsche 356 A Speedster qualifies as an Outlaw. The classic Porsche experts at Serge Heitz in France are tasked with finding a new home for this Speedster. They provide the vehicle with all the paperwork to satisfy Porsche purists when they begin to twitch over the non-original performance parts. This particular 1958 Speedster Outlaw is marked as “reserved” on Serge Heitz’s for sale section of the website at the time of this publication. Nevertheless, any day you can look at a pristine Porsche 356 A Speedster can’t be all bad. Right?
