When it comes to cell phones, there are two schools of thought. If you are a smartphone enthusiast who values the expansive screens of releases such as the Galaxy Note 4 and the Apple iPhone 6 Plus, you may espouse the “bigger is better” mentality. For those who value portability above all else, the UK-based tech company Zanco has taken small size to previously unheard-of extremes with the tiny t1. The aptly named tiny t1 is the smallest mobile phone in the world.
When you hold it in your hand, you may think that it’s a toy, but the Zanco tiny t1 is fully functional with both talk and text. It can store up to 300 phone numbers and up to 50 SMS messages. No pocket is too small to accommodate this marvel of modern technology. At just 13 grams, the tiny t1 weighs less than most coins. Measuring just 46.7 millimeters tall and 21 millimeters wide, it is smaller than most key chains.
The tiny t1 features a nano-SIM card that allows it to operate on any 2G network. Just don’t try to use it on a 3G or 4G network, because the tiny t1’s incredibly small size simply won’t support them.
