The latest wings+horns capsule collection, Storm 36, marries advanced technology with the natural world on multiple levels with the help of the Washington-based artist Nicolas Sassoon. Trained in various mediums, Sassoon captured winter in the Pacific Northwest in all its muted splendor from a very specific vantage point – through a single rain-splattered window in his Vancouver studio. The result is two projects in one: a looped video project that transforms this window-side view using striking digital animation and a series of 40 numbered stills that bear the name “Storm.”
The Storm 36 Collection employs a monochromatic freeze frame as a unique pattern that graces four jet black products – coach’s jacket, deck shirt, crewneck, and t-shirt. Each piece comes with a 6″ x 11″ numbered print signed by the artist.
