Plenty of watches out there are modeled after traditional American military-issue watches. However, the Vortic Military Edition Watch is different. Every Vortic Military Edition Watch is a salvaged antique American pocket watch. All of the watches were produced specifically for members of the United States Army Air Corps. Every pocket watch is then customized and refurbished into a wristwatch.
With every watch built from an original antique pocket watch, there will be some slight variations in appearance between each. All the original watches were built in the United States and each comes with a black face contrasted by white hour markers and indices. The watches are made in Illinois, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania with some slight differences between the 3 original manufacturer locations. All of the watches used in the Vortic Military Edition were produced between 1938 and 1950. Adding to that authenticity, the vast majority of the salvaged watches were used during wartime.
