For the past 18 years, visvim has allowed fashion designer Hiroki Nakamura to conduct, in his own words, “an ongoing exercise in the pursuit of joy and timeless beauty through the discovery and creation of footwear and clothing products.” Nakamura and visvim recently unveiled their latest work in the new Lookbook for fall and winter of 2018. The collection features updates of all the standard fare that customers have come to expect from visvim: well-worn denim jackets, washed out tee shirts, and the company’s signature Skagway sneaker.
Standouts among the 2018 Fall/Winter Lookbook’s new creations include the vibrant Yakuta blanket coat — an incredibly warm and comfortable garment that draws inspiration from Japan’s traditional yukata casual summer kimono. Other highlights of visvim’s new collection include striking pair of herringbone cargo pants and a long cardigan sweater that uses an uneven dye process to create a uniquely weathered look.
