Victorinox’s annual Alox limited edition has become a ritual for Swiss Army knife collectors, and the 2026 edition might be its coolest yet—literally. Dubbed Glacial Blue, the new hue channels the crisp tones of Alpine ice, coating three familiar blades in anodized aluminium that is as durable as it is striking. Each model carries the year on its rear panel, ensuring future bragging rights when 2026 knives are long sold out.

The trio begins with the Classic SD, the tiny key‑ring companion that has saved more than one picnic. In Glacial Blue it retains its 58mm length and feather‑light 21g weight while packing a blade, scissors, nail file with screwdriver tip and a key ring. Next up is the Pioneer X, the workhorse of the group. Its 93mm handle houses a large blade, scissors, can‑opener and two screwdrivers; embossed scales improve grip while the blue finish keeps it from disappearing in the grass. Finally, the Evoke strips things down to a single, one‑hand‑opening blade and a deep carry pocket clip. Built for hunters and outdoorsy types who prefer a straightforward tool, it adds an ergonomic aluminium handle with a removable thumb stud for ambidextrous deployment.

Victorinox uses the Alox series to explore colour trends—last year’s Refined collection, covered by IMBOLDN, leaned into earth tones. This year’s Glacial Blue feels like a palate cleanser, pairing frosty anodizing with the knives’ utilitarian charm. Prices remain accessible at around $48 for the Classic SD, $82 for the Pioneer X and $140 for the Evoke, and each arrives packaged in a collector’s box. Retailers such as Swiss Knife Shop already have them in stock, but as with past years, once they’re gone they’re gone.
Whether clipped to your jeans or displayed in a case, this icy trio adds a refreshing accent to everyday carry.
