A dive-inspired watch does not need to be oversized to look capable. Victorinox has given the Maverick its largest redesign in roughly two decades, shrinking the collection to a 39mm case and stripping away much of the visual complexity that defined earlier generations.
The new range spans 14 references: ten quartz models and four automatics. Across the family, the case proportions are cleaner and more compact, while the rotating bezel and sporty bracelet-or-strap combinations retain the Maverick’s tool-watch character. Automatic versions use the Swiss Sellita SW200-1, add a display caseback and date, and offer 200 meters of water resistance. Current references include black, blue, and green dials, with steel, rubber, and two-tone configurations depending on the model.
The important change is coherence rather than novelty for novelty’s sake. At 39mm, the Maverick now sits closer to the proportions of contemporary everyday sports watches, while the broad mix of quartz and mechanical versions lets Victorinox keep the collection accessible without forcing one movement philosophy across every price point.

The new Maverick collection launched September 14, with international pricing spanning roughly €595 to €1,095; U.S. model-by-model pricing was not consistently posted at the time of writing.
