Minimal watches are easy to draw and difficult to justify. The Unimatic Modello Uno UT1-PD ProDiver applies the Italian brand’s minimalist design language to a professional dive watch, pairing 300-meter water resistance with a protected quartz movement and MIL-STD-810H-certified durability.
Its sandblasted 316L stainless-steel case measures 40mm across—or 41.5mm including the bezel—49mm lug to lug, and 13.6mm thick with the crystal. A 120-click unidirectional bezel surrounds the matte black dial, where printed Arabic numerals, Super-LumiNova C1, and orange accents provide legibility without disrupting the familiar Modello Uno geometry. The 3mm flat sapphire crystal receives an anti-reflective coating on its inner surface. A 22mm two-piece TPU strap brings the complete weight to 99 grams, while the watch head alone weighs 81 grams.
Inside, Seiko’s VH31A quartz caliber advances the seconds hand four times per second, creating a smoother motion than the conventional one-tick-per-second quartz display. The two-jewel movement is rated to ±15 seconds per month and approximately two years of battery life. Unimatic’s molded TPU protection system surrounds the movement and adds a protective ring above the dial. The watch has also passed MIL-STD-810H testing for resistance to impacts, drops, and vibration, giving it a pragmatic distinction from the mechanical complexity common among modern dive watches.
