Outdoor gear company Travoca has expanded its line of vehicle‑based refrigerators with the Rigel+ Dual Zone eCooler, debuting the upgraded model at the Overland Expo SoCal. The Rigel+ builds upon Travoca’s original Rigel electric cooler with a handful of design tweaks inspired by customer feedback.
Chief among them is a built‑in MOLLE panel affixed to one side of the steel body, allowing overlanders to secure cutlery, spices or other essentials. Opposite the panel sits an integrated fold‑out shelf capable of holding a drink or small cutting board. Inside, removable baskets make packing and unpacking easy, and a removable divider lets owners configure the unit for one large compartment or two separate zones.

Like the original Rigel, the new Rigel+ employs Toshiba compressors and vacuum‑insulated panels for true dual‑zone cooling, delivering freezer temperatures down to ‑4 °F with less energy draw than traditional 12‑volt fridge/freezers.
Travoca says the design provides up to 60 percent longer cooling performance without ice, freeing up the entire interior for food and drinks. The durable steel shell, HDPE base and IPX5 water‑resistance rating ensure the cooler will withstand years of outdoor abuse. A new Borage Blue colorway distinguishes the Rigel+ from its green predecessor.
Travoca will offer the Rigel+ in three sizes—35 L ($829.99), 45 L ($929.99) and 60 L ($1,029.99)—with sales beginning online in May 2026. The cooler will be shown at booth LI‑4000 during the Overland Expo SoCal from March 14–15.
For those who own the original Rigel, the company plans to sell the MOLLE panel and shelf as separate accessories. The Rigel+ line underscores Travoca’s commitment to elegantly rugged gear that enhances vehicle‑based adventures, whether you’re camped on a windswept mesa or tailgating at the ballpark.
