The new North Face Flight Vectiv Guard Futurelight footwear is the latest in the line of The North Face’s revamped trail running shoes. Intended to incorporate high performance into a modern, streetwear style shoe to hit the trails, the Flight Vectiv Guard Futurelights is a heavy-duty winterized version. The shoes are unlike anything on the market, thanks in part to a number of unique features. First off, a waterproof shell has been incorporated into its upper, giving off strong ski boot vibes. Wrapped up within this is The North Face’s waterproof/breathable membrane, designed to keep even the most avid trail running free from rain, sleet, mud, and snow.
The shoe also features a molded carbon fiber plate that locks in place into its midsole for an extra boost to propel each step. Below the plate is an almost featherweight dual-density midsole with a bouncy and resilient foam that can take a real pounding on the trail. All of this is packaged in The North Face Flight Vectiv Guard Futurelights indestructible outsole. This piece of kit is made to handle any twist and turn that it may meet, with surface control technology via its rubberized outsole that incorporates hefty lugs to provide optimal grip for trail running. This shoe is about as technical as it gets for winter trail running, while still looking cool enough to tackle city streets. Whether it is worn on or off the trail, it is certainly built to last.
