Disney+ has just released The Mandalorian Season 3 Official Trailer and Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) is back — with Grogu, a.k.a. Baby Yoda/The Child in tow. The long-awaited third season is scheduled to debut on March 1, 2023. Previously, it was expected that the third season would debut in February. So, fans have to wait just a bit longer.
“I’m going to Mandalore, so that I may be forgiven for my transgressions,” Mando says hauntingly at one point in the trailer, referring to his home planet. The third season will take place following the events of “The Book of Boba Fett,” in which Din Djarin was last seen reuniting with the training Jedi warrior Grogu. The two were heading to planet Mandalore to restore Din Djarin’s honor. The trailer also shows lightsaber-wielding Jedi facing some unseen menace, a cantina for droids, a Kowakian monkey-lizard, and lots of Mandalorians… ending with Baby Yoda making short work of a creature with ill intentions.
The Mandalorian’s original creator, Jon Favreau, serves as writer and executive producer this season. Additionally, The Mandalorian Season 3 features the return of Carl Weathers (as Greef Karga), Giancarlo Esposito (as Moff Gideon), and Katee Sackhoff as (bounty hunter Mandalorian Bo-Katan Kryze).
