There’s a certain “phrase” that has made Samuel J. Jackson who he is today. Obviously it wasn’t coined by him, but his charisma and vigor has made it his catchphrase, where most of us automatically visualize him uttering the words when we hear or sea it written on paper.
That’s why it’s not too much of a stretch to say that The Hitman’s Bodyguard was written around the idea of watching Samuel L. Jackson at his best. Balance it out with the same level of eloquence that Deadpool Ryan Reynolds can bring to the table, and you have a highly entertaining film filled with profanity and over-the-top action in your hands.
Ryan Reynolds’ character is given the unenviable task of protecting the foul-mouthed hitman Samuel L. Jackson through a rainstorm of bullets and F-bombs.
