DC’s ‘The Flash’: A Time-Traveling Adventure To Save The Universe

The new official trailer, released at CinemaCon, gives fans a glimpse into the action-packed world of Barry Allen, the fastest man alive.

The Official Trailer 2 for the highly anticipated movie, The Flash, has just been released. The film is set to premiere in theaters on June 16, 2023. The movie, based on DC Comics characters, features Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, also known as The Flash, who is the fastest man alive.

The second The Flash trailer begins with Michael Keaton’s Batman (first revealed in full in the previous Flash trailer) describing how he became Batman in a vain attempt to fight his pain at losing his parents — and also, symbolically, to try to bring his parents back. But Barry Allen, the Flash, succeeds in genuinely bringing his mother back to life by using his speed powers to travel back in time and stop her murder. However, that changes the world in ways he never could have imagined, resulting in no Superman existing to fight an invading Zod. There is, however, a Supergirl (Sasha Calle), and so the Flash, Supergirl, and Batman (and also a non-superpowered version of Barry, apparently) team up for some pretty incredible-looking action scenes. Also, for good measure, we get another glimpse of Ben Affleck Batman too.

The Flash is directed by Andy Muschietti, who has previously directed horror movies like Mama and IT and produced by Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco. Christina Hodson has written the screenplay, with a screen story by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein and Joby Harold, based on characters from DC.

The movie also features Michael Shannon as General Zod. The trailer reveals glimpses of the alternate reality created by Barry Allen’s time-traveling, which leads to a world where he is the only one who can save it from destruction. So, mark your calendars for June 16th, and be prepared for an action-packed adventure through time and space with Barry Allen and his superhero friends.
