H. Moser & Cie has built its reputation on restraint, daring design choices, and minimalist innovation. The brand’s latest release, the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Smoked Salmon, embodies all three. With a name that raises eyebrows and a dial that captures light in shifting tones of copper, brown, and salmon pink, this watch walks the fine line between classic haute horlogerie and playful irreverence.

At its core lies the brand’s signature HMC 800 hand-wound caliber, one of the most intuitive perpetual calendar movements on the market. Featuring a seven-day power reserve, an oversized “Flash Calendar” date window, and a discreet central hand to indicate the months, the complication remains elegantly simple to use—an ongoing theme in Moser’s philosophy. The small seconds sub-dial at six o’clock and power reserve indicator at nine o’clock complete a design that prioritizes clarity without sacrificing artistry.

The 42mm white gold case, paired with a smoked salmon griffé dial, provides depth and texture with a fumé effect that shifts in the light. Applied indices and leaf-shaped hands in red gold add refinement, while the transparent lacquer logo gives the dial a minimalist, almost secretive finish. Water resistance to 100m and sapphire crystals on the front and back ensure durability that matches the aesthetics.

Limited to just 100 pieces, the $67,171 Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Smoked Salmon proves that watchmaking can be both serious and witty, offering collectors a timepiece that evolves with light, mood, and context.
