If you’re a movie fan, sometimes you don’t even need to know the plot synopsis, the starring cast, or the film genre to decide whether or not you want to see it. Sometimes, you just need to learn who directed it.
TENET is one of those movies, and while the first trailer looks intriguing enough, it doesn’t give away a ton. But it’s the man behind the camera that will have you buying tickets in summer 2020 when the film hits theaters. That man is visionary director Christopher Nolan.
Nolan’s first film since his 2017 Academy Award Best Picture nominee Dunkirk taps back into his sci-fi, visionary roots. The TENET Official Trailer shows a cast of David Washington, Robert Pattinson, and a Nolan favorite — Michael Caine. Though the first trailer arouses more questions than it does answers, it certainly looks like it will be the filmmaker’s most ambitious feature film yet.
TENET opens in theaters on July 17, 2020.
