Tectonic Coffee has the unique ability to find some of the world’s best arabica by discovering growers who are off the grid. By finding farms in areas with the perfect altitude, topography, and soil for cultivating coffee, Tectonic gives exposure to growers who otherwise would be entirely unknown. Tectonic Coffee Peru El Corazón is locally sourced from the farm of Joel Hidrogo. Each sip packs the aromatic tastes of plum, cherry, and black tea. This unique flavor profile is the fruit of over a decade of Hidrogo’s labors learning to grow, cultivate, and roast coffee beans.
At an altitude of 1,700 feet, Hidrogo’s 3.25 hectare farm has the unique ability to grow Typica and Caturra strains of arabica. This allows the Tectonic Coffee Peru El Carazon to combine these types of beans through a unique washing process. Purchasing 12 oz of whole beans or ground coffee puts a portion of the proceeds back to the farm it’s sourced from the help Hidrogo improve his facilities to continue to carry on his family’s legacy for another generation.
