For the 50th anniversary of the Monaco, TAG Heuer is releasing five special editions of the iconic square watch. The original Monaco was named so because it was first revealed during the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco. First of the five limited edition variations, the TAG Heuer Monaco 1969-1979 is designed to capture the original look and feel of the watch while also sporting a few modern twists.
The watch features a 39mm square steel case, historically accurate Calibre 11 automatic movement with a 30-minute chronograph and 40-hour power reserve, 100 meters of water resistance, and stunning Côtes de Genève finishing on the olive green dial that gives off a quintessential 70s vibe. This first special Monaco will be limited to 169 units.
