TAG Heuer’s Carrera has long been a benchmark for clean chronograph design, but its latest iteration proves that bigger can still be balanced. The 2026 Carrera Glassbox Chronograph expands the signature case from 39 mm to 41 mm, delivering more wrist presence while maintaining the ergonomics and readability that made the original famous.
The stainless‑steel case measures 41 mm in diameter, 47.48 mm lug‑to‑lug and 14.17 mm thick, with brushed and polished surfaces and a domed sapphire crystal that curves seamlessly into the case. By omitting a fixed bezel, the design emphasises the open, instrument‑like dial, which is offered in blue, teal or black with rhodium‑plated indices and luminous hands.
Inside beats TAG Heuer’s in‑house calibre TH20‑01, a column‑wheel chronograph movement with a vertical clutch, bidirectional winding and an 80‑hour power reserve. The movement is visible through a sapphire caseback and is paired with a seven‑row steel bracelet that echoes vintage beads‑of‑rice designs. A water resistance rating of 100 metres means the watch isn’t confined to the boardroom.
