The Syitren RM1 turns CD playback into a visible part of the listening experience, placing the spinning disc and optical mechanism between two transparent acrylic panels. The result is both a functional player and a compact piece of kinetic display design.

The square player measures 10.2 by 10.2 inches, is 1.7 inches deep, and weighs approximately two pounds. Detachable supports allow it to stand on a desk or shelf, while a rear mounting slot accommodates wall installation. A warm-yellow 12 × 8 LED matrix displays track, volume, battery, and playback information alongside simple animations, while a linear indicator tracks the song’s progress. The approach recalls other forms of design-led physical audio, but reduces the object to its mechanism, circuitry, light, and album artwork.

The RM1 supports conventional audio CDs, CD-R and CD-RW media, and discs containing MP3 or WMA files. Anti-shock buffering provides 40 seconds of protection for audio CDs and up to 120 seconds for MP3 playback. Bluetooth 5.3 and a 3.5mm analog output connect the player to headphones, powered speakers, or an existing audio system; no speaker is built in. A 2,000mAh rechargeable battery provides a claimed six to eight hours of playback and charges through USB-C.

The crowdfunding campaign lists a limited $89 launch pledge and a standard single-unit tier at $129. The Kickstarter campaign closes September 2, 2026, with worldwide delivery estimated for October. Shipping charges are additional, and the schedule and final specifications remain subject to the usual crowdfunding risks.
