Singer, who has long been synonymous for the pursuit of the world’s most classic and beautifully re-imagined Porsches like the Singer Luxemburg Targa & Minnesota and Singer 911 ‘Newcastle’, has now dipped their hands into high-end watchmaking.
With the introduction of the Singer Reimagined Track 1 Chonograph, the vehicle design firm has also begun its foray into a full service watchmaking outfit. After two years of research, development, and collaboration the Track 1 Chronograph is an homage to the sporting chronographs that were popular in the 1960s and 1970s. The watch is built on Singer’s principles to flirt with convention and embrace perfection.
Designed in Geneva, Switzerland, in the heart of the world’s watchmaking capital, the Track 1 Chronograph features a revolutionary new movement and a focus on the clarity and readability in a distinct chronograph situated in the center of the dial. The positioning is designed to pay reverence to time, by showcasing both the passing of time and the opportunities that lay ahead. The watch’s two rotating discs reflect the time of day while also referencing classic sporting timepieces, an interplay of passing time and the current time.
The Track 1 Chronograph is powered by the AgenGraphe caliber, an innovative movement which is the product of more than ten years of development toward mechanical innovation. The watch case itself is made from Grade 5 titanium and anti-reflective sapphire crystal. No expense is spared, right down to the strap, constructed out of black calf leather paired with a khaki green alligator lining.
The Singer Reimagined Track 1 Chronograph is available for pre-order now in a limited edition launch release of 50.
