Sherpa Watches has released two re-editions of the most iconic 1960s dive watches, the Ultradive and OPS. Each was inspired by the mid-sixties classics from Swiss watch manufacturer Enicar S.A. Lengnau, which closed its doors in the 1980s. The new Ultradive brings the 1964 version back to life with futuristic features. The signature “double lollipop” seconds hand hails from classic 1964 dive watches, while the state-of-the-art internal diving bezel and dayglow Sherpa Orange Swiss Super-LumuNova Grade X1 contribute to the 2022 function and style. The Sherpa OPS is the Ultradive’s sister model. It is the rebirth of a favorite watch used by several 1960s Navy Forces.
The mechanics are rugged, providing water resistance up to 200 meters. Although, the sapphire box glass and delicately domed dial prove a tough watch can be dignified too. The reborn Sherpa Ultradive & OPS watches are casual enough for rugged adventures yet elegant enough for the office. A percentage of watch sales supports Nepal Himalaya Sherpa Foundation, helping build a future for children in the Mount Everest area. The preorder form for Sherpa Ultradive & OPS watches is available now on the Sherpa Watches website.
