In the world of prestigious time pieces, one brand stands out with its relative affordability and vault-like build quality. While many snobs may scoff at the name Seiko, true watch enthusiasts have long been respectful of the Japanese brand, keeping at least one or two in their collection of quality time pieces.

In keeping with the trend of watches with blue faces, Seiko announces two limited edition models to their Prospex (Professional Specifications) line of watches in a new “Blue Lagoon” colorway. The new blue colorways are updates to two classic Seiko designs — SRPB11 is a reissue of the SRP777 “Turtle”, while the SRPB09 is based on the short-lived Seiko “Samurai” Diver that was produced between 2005 to 2008. In addition to the blue color scheme, both watches stay true to their roots with silver hour markers, yellow second hands, and blue rotating bezels highlighted with a turquoise count-up scale. Both watches are made from stainless steel and run automatic movements with 41-hour power reserves, water resistance up to 200m, and will be priced below $600 when it goes on sale early February of 2017.
