Samsung’s latest announcement outlines plans to embed generative AI more deeply into its ecosystem. The company is developing a multi‑agent platform for future Galaxy devices that allows different AI models to collaborate across tasks.

Rather than keeping AI confined within individual apps, Samsung’s system‑level approach lets an assistant summarise notes, schedule reminders, and interact with third‑party services without constant app switching. A newly introduced voice wake phrase—“Hey Plex”—will trigger a conversational agent that leverages Perplexity’s search capabilities to answer questions and refine results over time.

The platform is designed to be open and inclusive; Samsung has indicated that it will integrate agents from multiple providers so users aren’t locked into a single ecosystem. On supported devices, users will be able to ask complex queries—like planning a trip, composing messages or translating documents—and have different models handle sub‑tasks. The company also plans to embed AI features into Samsung Notes, Clock and Calendar, using natural language to create to‑do lists, generate presentations and adapt schedules.

Samsung’s executive vice president and head of mobile R&D, Won‑Joon Choi, stated that the goal is to provide AI that is accessible and trustworthy. By running models on‑device and in the cloud, the company hopes to deliver speed and privacy.

As generative AI becomes a differentiator in smartphones, Samsung’s multi‑agent strategy signals its ambition to compete with other tech giants while giving users more flexibility.
