Samsung continues to position its home displays as canvases with the announcement of an exclusive Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 collection for the Samsung Art Store. Curated in collaboration with the fair’s organisers, the digital exhibition features 25 artworks from 20 contemporary artists spanning photography, painting and mixed‑media. Pieces such as Michael Najjar’s space‑inspired photograph “Europa,” Sun Yitian’s hyperreal painting “Ken” and collage works by Ha Bik Chuen demonstrate the breadth of the selection.

Visitors to Art Basel Hong Kong can see the collection on Samsung’s Micro LED, OLED and The Frame Pro displays at the brand’s booth, but the works will simultaneously be available to Art Store subscribers around the world starting March 24. Each piece is presented in 4K resolution with accurate colour reproduction, allowing owners of The Frame and other Samsung televisions to cycle through curated art instead of default screensavers. Users can set images to rotate automatically or select individual works to complement their interiors.

The initiative follows Samsung’s ongoing partnership with the National Museum of Korea, which has brought the late Lee Kun‑Hee’s private collection into the digital realm. According to Samsung vice president Cheol‑gi Kim, the goal is to “make art more accessible and approachable” through technology. For collectors and casual viewers alike, the Art Store functions as a subscription service that refreshes regularly with works from leading institutions and independent artists.

Art Basel’s inclusion underscores how streaming art has become part of the technology giant’s strategy. Those interested can browse the full lineup on the Samsung Art Store, learn more about Art Basel Hong Kong, or explore previous collaborations with the National Museum of Korea. The collection is a reminder that large‑format TVs can be about more than movies; they can bring gallery walls into the living room.
