If one was to make a list of some of the most popular animated TV shows in Japanese history, Dragon Ball Z would undoubtedly be right at the top. It first debuted in April of 1989 and ran for 291 episodes, lasting all the way until January of 1996. It’s been dubbed into just about every language one can think of and eventually aired in at least 81 countries around the world. It follows the story of Son Goku as he defends the Earth from a wide range of different villains, including aliens like the famous Vegeta, androids like the dastardly Cell, and even magical creatures like Majin Buu. It’s a sequel to the original Dragon Ball and it adapts the final 325 chapters of the equally popular manga series of the same name.
It is still incredibly popular with fans despite the fact that it has been off the air for so long and now, you can enjoy a little slice of the show whenever you want thanks to the S.H.Figuarts Son Goku’s Belly Eighth Set. The Son Goku’s Belly Eighth Set celebrates Goku’s extreme love of food and features a number of restaurant-themed accessories. There are miniature plastic bottles of beer, bowls of fried rice, fish, steamed buns, ramen, and a suckling pig. The set also contains props like a table, chairs, plates, and bowls. Additional accessories are sold separately, including three different types of wrist replacements and a replacement facial expression part. All told, it is a fun way for someone to continue to show off their love of the show and the set is available now to preorder and will be available in late July 2021.
