With a nod to the extravagance and nonconformity that personifies Dr. Woo, the Roger Dubuis x Dr. Woo Excalibur MT is a product of the creativity and inspired design shared by both brands. Dr. Woo has made a name for himself in the world of needle art and has since launched his own intricate designs, making him LA’s most sought-after tattoo artist. Dr. Woo is the first of three artists from the Roger Dubuis x Urban Art Tribe partnership to create a watch for the collection. The artists will be tasked with creating a new astrological interpretation of the timeless Roger Dubuis Excalibur Monotourbillon design. With sapphire dials displaying a starship journey design by Woo, as well as a second dial displaying his version of time, represented as a cosmic map, the Excalibur watch is the perfect blend of high tech and artistic creativity.

Limited to only eight pieces, this 42mm Eon Gold Excalibur is meticulously hand-crafted and has a partially skeletonized dial, with a clear sapphire crystal encasing it, allowing the in-house RD512 tourbillon movement to be viewed. The transparent caseback includes engravings and production numerics on the outer portion to signify the special release from Roger Dubuis x Dr. Woo. The special edition Excalibur is finished with a black 3D calf leather strap engraved with Dr. Woo’s language symbols representing the connection between humans.

In other watch news, Blancpain has released the Air Command Flyback Chronograph.
