Smartphone manufacturer HONOR made waves in May of last year with the launch of the Magic V2 RSR, representing the brand’s second collaboration with Porsche Design. Now, the brands’ latest collaboration is being launched worldwide, bringing their combination of power and elegance to a global audience. The Porsche Design HONOR Magic7 RSR Smartphone is said to be inspired by the aerodynamic qualities of Porsche’s Taycan Turbo S.
From the outset, Porsche’s inspiration for the design choices and overall aesthetics is clear. It incorporates a series of signature design elements from Porsche’s sports cars. The design features a vertical line on the back that differentiates it from previous models. It retains the quad micro-curved shape and a distinct hexagonal camera module.
Shooting modes are extensive. The new and improved periscope telephoto camera has a 200MP resolution, and the f/1.88 telephoto aperture is the largest to date in the smartphone market. There’s also a main camera that features a 1/1.3-inch sensor and variable aperture in the 50-megapixel Super Dynamic Falcon format.
The seamless fluidity of the casing and aerodynamic vibe that draws inspiration from high-performance sports cars are complemented by an equally cutting-edge interior packed with impressive components that enhance performance. This includes the MagicOS 9.0 skin and pre-installed Android 15, with a range of AI-powered features covering everything from Real-Time Transcripts to AI Minutes and AI Summary.
Powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, the Porsche Design HONOR Magic7 RSR Smartphone is the latest smartphone technology for consumers who demand the best performance. It will be launched in two color options, Porsche’s iconic “Agate Grey” and a newly developed purple version, “Provence,” and will go on sale in the spring for $1,850.
