Renowned Dutch artist and designer Piet Parra has a long history of creating vibrant and energetic work that reflects his fascination with post-pop art, electronic music, and skateboard culture. Over the years, he has worked with Nike on multiple Air Max designs that have made even the most jaded sneaker enthusiasts stand up and take notice.
Now, Parra has given his unique treatment to the Nike SB line, creating a collection that includes two different shoes and several pieces of branded apparel. The keystone of the custom line has to be its boldly redesigned Parra x SB Blazer Low.
Emblazoned with the signature triple-layered pink, red, and blue Nike swoosh that ties the entire Parra x Nike Collection together, this shoe is otherwise quite understated with a classically slim silhouette and a matching upper, midsole, and outsole of bright, neutral white. The back of the right and left Parra x Nike SB Blazer Lows are stitched with “SB” and “Parra” logos, respectively.
