Oris continues its mission of merging precision watchmaking with environmental impact through the release of the Aquis Date New York Harbor Limited Edition II, a striking timepiece supporting the Billion Oyster Project. Limited to 2,000 pieces, this edition features an opalescent aqua green mother-of-pearl dial inspired by the waters of New York Harbor, where oysters are working to restore one of the world’s most famous waterways.
Launched in 2011 and refined over the years, the Aquis Date remains Oris’ flagship dive watch. The 2024 edition arrives in a 43.5mm stainless steel case, now thinner at 13.1mm for improved wearability, paired with a redesigned bracelet featuring broader brushed links and a quick-adjust clasp. Functionality is uncompromised, with 300 meters of water resistance, a sandblasted unidirectional rotating bezel with raised numerals, and Super-LumiNova-coated markers for visibility in the depths.
The engraved caseback pays tribute to the project with three oyster motifs and “New York Harbor Limited Edition” etched alongside each model’s unique number. Inside beats the automatic Oris Calibre 733, based on the Sellita SW200-1, offering 41 hours of power reserve and the reliability expected of a professional-grade dive watch.
Priced at $3,000, each watch comes on a stainless steel bracelet and includes an aqua-green rubber strap for versatility. Beyond its specs, the Oris Aquis Date New York Harbor II represents Oris’ dedication to conservation—supporting an initiative that has already restored over 150 million oysters to the harbor.
