Small guitar amps often achieve portability by deleting every interesting control. The Orange Baby Terror takes the opposite route, fitting 20 watts of solid-state power, a complete tone section, and recording-friendly outputs into a 6.5-inch-wide micro head.

Its single-ended Class A JFET front end pairs Gain and Volume controls with three-band EQ and Presence, giving the compact head considerably more flexibility than Orange’s stripped-back Micro Terror. A Tubby switch adds low-end warmth at cleaner gain settings, then disengages for a tighter response as the gain rises. A second, footswitchable volume level provides a lead or chorus boost without changing the underlying gain or EQ.

The rear panel extends that versatility beyond practice. An effects loop places delays, reverbs, and modulation pedals after the preamp, while a balanced XLR line output with ground lift feeds recording interfaces or live sound systems. The preamp signal can also be paired with cabinet impulse responses and plug-ins inside a DAW for silent tracking. A speaker output supports either 8- or 16-ohm cabinets, allowing the Baby Terror to drive conventional stage hardware without approaching the size or weight of compact tube guitar amplifiers.

The micro head measures 6.5 by 5.51 by 3.94 inches and weighs 3.31 pounds. A padded gig bag is included. The newest member of Orange’s Baby series is available now through authorized dealers for $249.
