Omega has produced its latest Seamaster dive watch to honor the work of Nekton, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the world’s oceans. Nekton believes that a healthy planet is dependent on a healthy ocean and with Omega’s long-standing commitment to the sea, it makes for the perfect collaboration to develop the Omega Seamaster Nekton Edition.
Based on Omega’s Diver 300M, this new timepiece has a 42mm stainless steel case with a domed scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal, with anti‑reflective treatment added. The Seamaster Nekton Edition boasts a laser-ablated matte black ceramic dial with polished waves in relief. Its unidirectional rotating bezel is crafted from grade 5 titanium with a laser-ablated diving scale, also in relief. Two iterations of the Omega watch are available: One with an integrated black rubber strap and the other with a stainless steel bracelet. The caseback is embossed with the Nekton submarine medallion, lending it a rarified air.
