Over the last decade, J.Crew and New Balance have teamed up to create more than a few sneakers together, and now they’re celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their partnership by creating – you guessed it – a new sneaker. The limited-edition New Balance X J.Crew 997 10th Anniversary Sneakers have just been released. The new style is an updated take on the 997, an iconic New Balance silhouette, featuring a color-blocked grayscale suede upper that incorporates reflective 3M detailing throughout, along with a handsome tonal debossed “N” logo.
On the back, the sneaker is marked with the Roman numeral ‘X’ and the footbed is co-branded, representing two additional tributes to the brands’ decade-long creative relationship. With the gray tonal look, this sneaker is effortlessly cool, but it has a deeper meaning as it symbolizes the color of tin, which traditionally is the metal used to commemorate a 10-year anniversary. Since this is a limited-edition shoe, New Balance and J.Crew are making only 1,000 pairs of the 997s, so it’s time to make this sneaker your own.
