California-based startup Morelle is aiming to redefine what convenience means in the e-bike world. While most electric bicycles take several hours to charge fully, the brand’s debut model promises a complete recharge in just 15 minutes. That’s thanks to its groundbreaking 350-Wh down-tube-integrated battery, which uses a silicon anode capable of storing 10 times the energy of traditional graphite. New engineering advancements allow the battery to maintain performance for up to 1,000 charging cycles, eliminating the degradation issues that once held back this tech.

Charging at an unprecedented rate of 1,000 to 1,200 watts—compared to the standard 100 to 300 watts—the Morelle eBike is positioned as the world’s fastest-charging bicycle. The company is also exploring a fast-charging network, potentially integrating micromobility hardware into existing EV stations for seamless urban use.

But it’s not just about charging speed. The e-bike is being designed to weigh around 30 pounds, making it a highly attractive option for city dwellers who need to transport their bikes upstairs or onto trains. With pedal-assisted speeds of up to 28 mph and a stealthy design that conceals its electric hardware inside the downtube, the Morelle blends speed, portability, and style into a sleek urban-ready package.

Set to launch in the first quarter of 2026 with a starting price of $3,000, Morelle is already accepting reservations—$50 for general preorders or $100 to secure one of the first units off the line.
