Diver’s watches are one of the most popular styles of watches today. It’s chunky aesthetic and robust build quality to withstand the extreme pressures of traveling well below the water’s surface make them highly desirable everyday watches as well. It’s notoriously difficult to make, with a high level of precision engineering required to meet the needs of divers. Thankfully for watch fans like us, a new watch company from San Francisco has ambitiously taken on the challenge.
Inspired from the progressive design culture of West Coast time zone (GMT-8), the MINUS-8 Titanium Diver is a modern interpretation of the classic diver’s watch. Along with the traditional chunky and bold design, the MINUS-8 Titanium Diver sets itself apart with what they call “machine-inspired aesthetic.” The Diver utilizes a Seiko automatic movement that’s wrapped in a robust and light-weight titanium case and bracelet. Being a diver’s watch, it’s waterproof up to 300 meters, and also features a helium-release valve and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
