MING has just released its 37.09 Bluefin, a sophisticated dive watch that balances elegance and robust performance. This latest model from MING’s 37-series continues the legacy of the 18.01 H41 but with a more refined approach. Crafted with an internally rotating dial and a sleek 38mm diameter, the Bluefin showcases meticulous design and technical prowess. With a thickness of just 12.8mm, including a 2.8mm domed sapphire crystal, it offers a substantial visual presence while maintaining a comfortable profile on the wrist.
The 37.09 Bluefin is rated for an impressive 600m water resistance, surpassing initial targets. This is achieved through innovative design tweaks, including a sealed crown at 4 o’clock and a 60-click unidirectional mechanism for rotating the Super-LumiNova X1-filled sapphire dial. The absence of a traditional bezel enhances its streamlined look, while the dial’s deep blue metallization and Hyceram hour indices ensure optimal legibility in all lighting conditions.
Powering the Bluefin is a customized Sellita SW300-1 movement, providing a 50-hour power reserve and bidirectional automatic winding. The watch also features a new multilayer process for luminous material application, ensuring brightness and longevity. Completing the package is a specially developed FKM rubber strap designed for ultimate comfort and compatibility with other MING 20mm lug watches.
Limited to 500 pieces and priced at $5,413, the MING 37.09 Bluefin is available for preorder now, with deliveries starting in October 2024.
