The MING Project 21 Series is a masterclass in watchmaking that pushes the boundaries of design and engineering. What started as a horological challenge at a collector’s dinner in Singapore has evolved into a limited-edition masterpiece, with only 15 pieces available for public release.

Powered by the historic Frederic Piguet 21 movement, Project 21 offers a timeless aesthetic with a 35mm tantalum case that combines three contrasting finishes. The design is a nod to vintage elegance with modern durability, featuring a multilayered dial with a fused borosilicate layer and a CVD-coated brass plate. The skeletonized hands and polished anglage on the bridges add to its refined look.

The tantalum case, crafted by Joshua Shapiro and his AHA team in Los Angeles, showcases the brand’s commitment to exquisite craftsmanship. The case is a machining marvel, with curved contours and a solid construction that ensures a hefty feel despite its compact size. The movement bridges are reworked in titanium, color-matched to the dial, and skeletonized to reveal the gear train.
Priced at a level that reflects its exclusivity and craftsmanship, the MING Project 21 is more than a watch—it’s a statement piece for serious collectors. Combining modern technology with vintage inspiration, it delivers a tactilely robust yet visually refined experience, offering a unique balance of form and function.
