Independent watchmaker MING has introduced the 57.04 Phoenix, a follow‑up to last year’s colorful Iris edition. The Phoenix is a destro monopusher chronograph, meaning both the crown and single pusher are positioned on the left side of the case for improved ergonomics.

Its dished grey dial features radial cutouts that reveal a baseplate treated with a multicolored coating; luminous accents use MING’s proprietary Polar White and Super‑LumiNova X1 pigments to ensure legibility. At 40 millimeters across, the stainless‑steel case relies on multi‑piece stepped lugs that mix brushed and polished surfaces, evoking a modern take on Art Deco design. The case is water‑resistant to 100 meters.

Power comes from a Sellita‑made movement configured for MING as caliber SW562.M1. It offers a monopusher chronograph function and a power reserve of roughly 60 hours. A sculpted anthracite three‑quarter plate complements the dial’s architecture, and the large crown provides a pleasant winding experience.

Buyers can choose between an FKM rubber strap and a Polymesh bracelet; pricing is set at CHF 7,250 and deliveries are slated for later this year. Orders opened on March 3 on the brand’s website and through authorized retailers.
The Phoenix is limited and will not be produced again once sold out. With its unusual left‑hand layout and layered dial, the 57.04 Phoenix underscores MING’s commitment to unconventional design and horological value.
