Micromilspec, the Oslo-based watchmaker trusted by elite military units worldwide, has released its first publicly available pilot’s watch: the Dualtimer. Founded by Henrik Rye alongside designer Anders Drage and a serving member of the Norwegian Army, the brand has spent years producing mission-specific timepieces for naval squadrons, combat battalions, and even Norway’s King’s Guard. Now, after more than 40 military collaborations, Micromilspec is extending its expertise to civilian enthusiasts with a rugged GMT designed for aviation and daily use alike.

The Dualtimer carries a distinct military pedigree. Measuring 42mm in stainless steel with a brushed utilitarian finish, it’s engineered for durability with a sapphire crystal, screw-down crown, solid caseback, and 200m water resistance. A fluted 24-hour rotating bezel works in tandem with the GMT hand, offering instant readability across two time zones. Micromilspec also introduces dual-color lume: green for local time and blue for GMT, ensuring clarity even in darkness. A date complication at 3 o’clock styled after an altimeter adds practical flair.

Inside beats the Swiss-made Sellita SW330-2, an automatic GMT caliber with 56 hours of power reserve. While technically an “office GMT” movement, it’s a reliable choice that balances accuracy, toughness, and price point. Each watch ships on a stainless-steel bracelet with quick-change options for rubber or leather straps.

Limited to just 75 pieces in its first run, the Dualtimer starts at $1,995 on rubber and $2,035 on a bracelet. Orders are open now, with deliveries slated for early 2026. For those who value authentic military-inspired craftsmanship, the Dualtimer marks the beginning of Micromilspec’s new Air series—and a serious contender in the world of pilot GMTs.
