Marantz continues its run of reference‑grade home theater gear with the AV 30 preamplifier and matching AMP 30 power amp. Designed for larger media rooms and dedicated theaters, the AV 30 is a balanced 11.4‑channel processor featuring the company’s HDAM discrete circuitry and seven HDMI inputs that are all 8K‑capable. It supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, and AURO‑3D decoding, and offers room correction via Audyssey MultEQ XT32 with optional Dirac Live upgrades. Streaming is handled by HEOS, giving access to high‑resolution platforms like Tidal and Amazon Music HD straight from the pream. Four independent subwoofer outputs and balanced outputs across all channels allow for sophisticated speaker configurations.

Partnering with the processor is the AMP 30, a 200‑watt‑per‑channel power amplifier built to the same exacting standards. Though full specs are still forthcoming, the amplifier offers both balanced XLR and single‑ended RCA inputs and can be bridged for higher output. Marantz crafts the duo in its Shirakawa facility in Japan, and the understated industrial design echoes the flagship AV 10/AMP 10 separates while bringing the price down to a more attainable level. Each component is expected to retail for around $4,000 and will ship later this year.

Audiophiles who enjoyed our coverage of Marantz’s AV20 separates will appreciate the same combination of elegance and power in this new release. While 13 or 15 channel processors may hog headlines, the AV 30’s 11.4‑channel architecture will be more than enough for most dedicated rooms.
Add in modern conveniences like HDMI eARC, network streaming, and optional Dirac room correction, and the AV 30/AMP 30 pair looks like a sweet spot in Marantz’s lineup for enthusiasts who want cinematic immersion without turning their living room into a full rack of gear.
