Apple is broadening its laptop lineup with the MacBook Neo, a 13‑inch notebook that pairs the company’s sharp Liquid Retina display with its custom A18 Pro processor. Encased in a unibody aluminum chassis that weighs under three pounds, the Neo offers a durable yet portable design.

The 500‑nit display supports the P3 wide color gamut and True Tone, while the A18 Pro chip promises up to 50 percent faster everyday performance compared to an entry‑level Intel PC. Despite its compact size, the Neo manages up to 16 hours of web browsing or movie playback, thanks to Apple’s power‑efficient architecture.

Priced from $599, the MacBook Neo undercuts the MacBook Air while retaining premium touches like the backlit Magic Keyboard, large Force Touch trackpad and a 1080p FaceTime camera. Wireless connectivity includes Wi‑Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, and two Thunderbolt / USB‑C ports support charging, data and external displays.

The laptop ships with macOS Sequoia and integrates seamlessly with iCloud and the broader Apple ecosystem. Consumers can choose from four finishes—blush, indigo, silver and citrus—to match their style.

With its combination of performance, battery life and price, the MacBook Neo looks poised to broaden the appeal of Apple’s laptops. Pre‑orders opened on March 4, with general availability beginning March 11.
