There are certain luxuries in life that get better with age. Perfectly maintained Bentleys, a Chambertin Grand Cru from 1949, and now the Macallan 72 Years Old in Lalique. The oldest single malt Macallan is being released in a limited amount to celebrate a seminal moment in the distillery’s robust history. This special edition is a celebration of almost two centuries of masterful craftsmanship.
Speaking of exceptional craftsmanship, the rare whisky is presented in a beautiful case and crystal Genesis Decanter from master glass art makers from Lalique to mark the move towards a new home. Lalique has captured the exquisite character of the new distillery, while the sustainably sourced timbers used to create the case are a nod towards both the past and the future. The whisky itself began its journey in the 1940s and will only be available for purchase in 600 individual decanters worldwide beginning in August 2018. Enjoying the taste of the Macallan 72 Years Old will be an experience of the lifetime for any whisky connoisseur as the beloved distillery takes its first steps into a new chapter.
