Few camera manufacturers can match Leica’s rich history and design pedigree. The brand is synonymous with high-end, stylish cameras for photographers with large budgets. To mark the centenary of the brand’s founding, Leica is launching the new Leica M11 100 YEARS OF LEICA special edition, a significant upgrade to the first mass-produced Leica model launched in 1925 at the Leipzig Spring Fair.

Retaining the compact design and classic aesthetics of the groundbreaking original, the Leica M11 100 YEARS OF LEICA limited edition will be available in six editions. In addition to the New York, USA variation, there are Tokyo, Japan, Dubai, UAE, Milan, Italy, Wetzler, Germany, and Shanghai, China options, with one hundred copies available in each of these territories. The Leica M11 100 Years of Leica ‘New York USA’ and other countries’ editions will be released throughout this centenary year at Leica Stores and the Leica Online Store. Some items are available, while others will be released in February and May 2025.

The Leica M11 100 YEARS OF LEICA limited edition cameras replicate the performance-driven specifications of the standard version, with impressively fast focusing, a powerful full-frame CMOS sensor, and an array of robust and tactile dials and controls. Each copy is finished with an individual engraving for the city and country where it will be available and with a patina characteristic of the brand’s classic models.

Complementing the launch of the Leica M11 100 YEARS OF LEICA limited edition cameras are branded accessories, including high-quality pens, collector’s Steiff Bears, and a Leica branded pin, among other items. It’s a fitting celebration of one of photography’s most enduring and respected companies for those with large budgets to play with.
