The LEGO Group has again partnered with German car manufacturer Volkswagen to launch the latest version of the ubiquitous LEGO Volkswagen T2 Camper Van, expanding upon the ever-growing selection of brick vehicle kits that LEGO offers. The new LEGO Volkswagen T2 Camper Van is, of course, based on its highly recognizable namesake of the late 1960s and ’70s. It succeeds the previously released LEGO Creator Expert Volkswagen T1 Camper Van, which is now a retired set and quite hard to find.

The new LEGO T2 Camper Van adds a whole host of new features including a wraparound bay windshield, folding rear bench seat, and a working steering wheel. Additional elements include fabric curtains, a popup roof tent, cabinets, a refrigerator, and even a teakettle on top of the gas stove. A surfboard and two folding chairs are also supplied to add to the authenticity of this VW model. LEGO also includes stickers to let builders personalize their blue-and-white T2 van in the flower-power style of the 60s. The Lego T2 measures 13.5-inches long, 5.5-inches wide, and 6.0-inches high and is made out of 2,207 pieces. The LEGO Volkswagen T2 Camper Van is available for purchase starting on August 1st.
