LEGO unveiled the new LEGO Vespa 125, celebrating Vespa’s 75th anniversary. LEGO says this new building block set took inspiration from the classic 1960s Vespa Piaggio. To that end, the LEGO Vespa 125 features authentic details, down to the pastel pale blue color, which is an extremely rare LEGO color. LEGO’s buildable Vespa model also includes single arm front suspension, a brick-built engine, and a removable engine cover. The Vespa 125 also boasts whimsical details, including a spare wheel, kickstand, the Vespa logo, a classic 1960s Italian license plate, and a basket of flowers to top it off.
This collector-worthy LEGO set comprises 1,106 pieces and measures 8.5-inches high, 13.5-inches long, and 4.5-inches wide. Head of the Piaggio Group Design Center, Marco Lambri, said: “Working with the LEGO Group was an extraordinary experience because it brought two dreams – the LEGO brand and Vespa – together, which have the unlimited expressive potential that they offer their fans in common.” The LEGO Vespa 125 will be available for purchase on March 1st.
