UK hi‑fi marque LEAK has introduced the TruStream, a network music player that combines cutting‑edge streaming technology with a mid‑century aesthetic.

Built on a high‑performance platform developed with Silent Angel, the TruStream supports Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, TuneIn radio, AirPlay 2 and more; it’s also Roon Ready, making it easy to integrate with multi‑room setups. Owners can stream files over a home network via DLNA or SMB/CIFS, or play music directly from USB storage.

An ESS Sabre ES9038Q2M DAC handles digital‑to‑analog conversion with support for PCM up to 768 kHz and DSD up to DSD512, and the unit offers balanced XLR and single‑ended RCA outputs alongside optical, coaxial and USB connections. There’s even a dedicated headphone amplifier to drive audiophile cans.
Despite the modern internals, the TruStream’s exterior nods to LEAK’s 1960s heritage with a brushed‑aluminium fascia and hand‑finished walnut‑veneer cabinet. Navigation is handled via a bespoke app and a front‑panel rotary controller, ensuring ease of use for both traditionalists and streaming newcomers. For music lovers who appreciate engineering elegance as much as sound quality, the TruStream bridges the gap between vintage hi‑fi charm and modern convenience.
