If you were a child of the 80’s you may remember hearing about the TurboGrafx-16. This console first hit Japan in 1987 and then the US in 1989. However, it didn’t do so well in sales compared to the other emerging platforms of the time. Now, mini retro consoles have been all the rage over the last few years, from the retro Nintendo and Super Nintendo to PlayStation Mini. Now, the latest offering from Konami, the TurboGrafx-16 mini returns.
The Konami TurboGrafx-16 mini will have two USB controller ports on the front and can support up to a five-way multiplayer adapter. Konami has also announced six games so far for the system, including R-Type, New Adventure Island, Ys Book I & II, Ninja Spirit, Dungeon Explorer, and Alien Crush. The company has not yet indicated how many total games it will include, the price, or the exact release date, so stay tuned.
