Ronnie Fieg’s long-standing connection to the Adidas Superstar takes a sophisticated turn with the launch of the Kith x Adidas Superstar “Black Tie 2.0“. Set to debut alongside Kith’s Fall 2025 “Institution” runway show—the brand’s first in six years—the capsule channels dress shoe elegance through the iconic silhouette, blending street heritage with luxury craftsmanship.

The concept draws inspiration from Fieg’s 2008 David Z. “Black Tie” collaboration, now reimagined with the maturity and refinement of his current design sensibilities. Made in Germany with premium materials, the collection spans five distinct colorways, all rooted in a sleek black palette. Three all-black iterations include one with a crocodile-textured upper, one in smooth black leather with gold embossing, and a variant with a glossier sole and tonal branding. Two additional versions contrast black with off-white striping and mustache details, one featuring white embossing and the other opting for subtle minimalism.

Each pair boasts thoughtful luxury details—waxed laces, refined toecap stitching, custom lace dubraes, and premium tongue branding—underscoring Fieg’s belief that the Superstar can be dressed up or down. The shoes embody a rare versatility, effortlessly bridging sneaker culture and formal aesthetics.
Seventeen years after the original, Kith’s “Black Tie 2.0” is more than a nostalgic nod; it’s a statement piece for the modern sneaker collector who values heritage, quality, and timeless style. While pricing has yet to be announced, the Made in Germany construction and elevated details ensure it will be a premium investment when it lands with the Fall 2025 drop.
